Data protection

Our approach to Data Protection

The purpose of data protection laws are to protect the rights of individuals with respect to the processing of their personal data, and to ensure that organisations which process personal data do so in line with the data protection principles.

In the UK the data protection legislation is implemented by two seperate laws. The UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 all organisations have to comply with both.

At Brunel University London, we have a dedicated team that monitors how the university complies with the legislation and ensures that our use of personal data is in line with our legal obligations.

The links below provide relevant information about our compliance with the data protection legislation. If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact our data protection team by emailing data-protection@brunel.ac.uk.

If you require confirmation of your degree or other awards, you should email your request to the Awarding Team.

If you wish to apply for admission to the University, you should email your request to Admissions.
