The Composers Ensemble, directed by Peter Wiegold, will perform works by Gamal Abdel-Rahim, Aziz El-Shawan, Halim El-Dabh, Nahla Mattar, Amr Okba, Ramz Sabry Samy and Patrik Bishay in Cairo on 6 February. Professor Wiegold will also be leading workshops and masterclasses with Egyptian student composers and young musicians, organised by the British Council.
