Contact the Communications Team to check whether your content is a good fit for the Brunel University channel (the Communications Team reserve the right to reject content if it is not of an appropriate topic, or if the video is of a low quality).
Email the video to communications@brunel.ac.uk (you may wish to use the Brunel Dropoff service), or send a copy on CD/DVD. Send the highest resolution copy you have HD/minimum of 720p preferably). Supported video formats are detailed on YouTube.
What title would best represent what your video is about? Titles should include keywords which might help the target audience to find the content through search engines. Your title can be up to 100 characters long (including spaces).
Write a short description of up to 1,000 characters (including spaces) explaining what happens in the video and who it’s for. The description should include a link to a relevant page or pages within the Brunel website (please note that the full URL must be used rather than hyperlinked words).
Think of some keywords which will help your audience to find the video. All Brunel videos are tagged with general tags like ‘Brunel’, ‘University’ and ‘Students’, but please also suggest any other keywords or phrases that specifically reflect your video’s content. You can include tags totalling up to 426 characters in total (including spaces).
State any appropriate playlists in which you feel your video should appear – this may be an existing playlist or, if you are sending a series of videos, you may wish to request the creation of a new one.
State the name of the file (eg student_profile_john.avi) to help us locate the video.
