Biography

Private Thomas Blakesley attended Borough Road College for two years where he had a particular interest in English and competed in tennis for the college. He enlisted into the 1/23 Battalion, London Regiment and landed in France on 14 March 1915. He was 24 when he was killed on 26 May 1915 at the Battle of Festubert.
