Brunel Institute for Bioengineering

Medical Engineering

The Institute has a very active Biofluid Mechanics group whose fluid flow research covers both, experimental and computational biofluid mechanics. The Institute's research applications of biofluid mechanics are mostly concerned with flows in the circulatory system to allow for disease and risk assessment as well as with flows in medical devices to allow for device development and design optimisation. Another exciting Medical Engineering project is the Spinal Brace project. For more detailed information please click on the sub-pages on the left.
