Research Interests

To design and analyze mathematical models (deterministic or stochastic) for monitoring the spread of infectious diseases of public health importance (e.g. HIV/AIDS, malaria, TB, SARS etc) in a given population. This involves a lot of dynamical systems theories and methodologies and also computational mathematics. The main goal is to develop effective mechanisms for controlling or eliminating disease spread in a community and/or in vivo.
