  • Former head of JARIC to join BCISS:  Mr. Geoffrey Oxlee OBE has been awarded an Honorary Fellowship by Brunel University, and will be welcomed as a member of the BCISS team from summer 2010. An expert on imagery with military and civilian forensic training, Mr. Oxlee brings substantial practitioner experience and expertise in imagery analysis and intelligence assessment to the BCISS team.

  • Dr. Philip Davies has just guest edited a special edition of the journal Public Policy and Administration on intelligence and public administration. Contributors include Sir David Omand, Sir David Pepper, Professor Martin Smith, Professor Christopher Grey, Dr. Andrew Sturdy, Dr. Christopher Murphy, and Dr. Davies as well.

  • BCISS has been selected as a partner to the MOD's Development, Concepts and Doctrine Centre (DCDC) for the writing of Joint Doctrine Publication (JDP) 2.0. This is the British military's keystone doctrine manual on the practice of intelligence across all three branches of service.

  • Kristian Gustafson is now a member of the Government Chief Scientific Advisor (GCSA) and MOD CSA's Counter-IED Working Group, looking to devise new solutions to the threat posed by IED's to British troops in Afghanistan.
