One of the key aims of our sustainable travel plan is to provide an environment that encourages students and staff to travel by alternative means of transport with less dependency on the car.
Our Uxbridge campus is well served by local buses and is only a mile from Uxbridge town centre and the Metropolitan/Piccadilly line station serving central London.
Main line railway services run from West Drayton station (approximately 2 miles from our campus on a direct bus route) and West Ruislip. The campus is also on a recommended cycle route.

Brunel travel plan
We have formally registered our interest to participate in the “Work Place Travel Planning Site Specific Advice Scheme" (SSA Programme) and have signed a Partnership Pledge Form to assist TfL in producing a Work Place Travel Plan which sets out a range of measures and initiatives to promote sustainable travel choices and options relevant for the purposes of Brunel University London. This work place Travel Plan has since received 'Gold Status', awarded by WestTrans in recognition of reaching the majority of agreed targets.
Green Travel - long term goals
We are all aware that we need to reduce our own carbon footprint including recycling our waste and our individual demand on energy so why not think about ditching the car and look at alternative ways to travel. Brunel University London is close to Heathrow airport, is served by Underground and rail links, and has excellent local bus services. Our campus has secure cycle storage facilities and is approximately a 20 minute walk from Uxbridge town centre.
