John Forrest is Deputy Chairman, National Transcommunications Ltd, a company which was created in 1991 by restructuring the Engineering Division of the Independent Broadcasting Authority. He spent fourteen years as Lecturer, Reader and latterly Professor in the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering of University College London and joined the Independent Broadcasting Authority as Director of Engineering in 1986. He is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering.
