Programme Specifications Portal
We publish a ‘programme specification’ for every award-bearing taught programme we offer, in line with Expectation A2.2 of the UK Quality Code for Higher Education Part A as published by the Quality Assurance Agency.
These constitute the definitive record of what each programme and qualification comprises: including the module, study and/or assessment blocks offered, the learning outcomes, and details about the intended requirements for successful completion. Programme specifications are primarily used in the University’s quality assurance processes, but the definitive information they contain is expected to be valuable to current and prospective students.
Each programme specification applies to a specific year of entry and the latest version is published on this website. Earlier versions are available to registered students via IntraBrunel or by special request from firstname.lastname@example.org.
Changes to programme specifications may be made but must always be formally approved. Students will be kept informed of any proposed or agreed substantive changes that will affect aspects of the programme that the student has yet to complete.
Individual modules, study and/or assessment blocks have outlines that define indicative content and structure, intended learning outcomes and assessment schemes. These may also be adjusted from year to year through formal approval processes.
