Alumni Weekend 2016
As part of our wider 50th Anniversary celebrations, this summer saw us celebrate 50+ years of fantastic students at our Alumni Weekend here on campus on 2 & 3 July 2016. We were thrilled to welcome back over 1000 alumni to reunite with classmates and join us for a range of activities including live music, drinks receptions, a roller disco, poetry takeaway van, funfair stalls, academic talks and a silent disco. We were excited to play host to a sold-out comedy night - Live at Brunel with Jo Brand - and showcase music from alumni band, The Blimey O’Rileys, in a closing celebration of the weekend. Our Sports Day saw lots of action, with highlights including the reunion of our 80s football teams and a lively game of Wheelchair Basketball with Ambassadors vs Alumni.
It was a real pleasure to see so many Brunelians with their friends and families on campus reminiscing and sharing their stories of student days.
