Brunel Anthropology is a dynamic division with a critical and engaged approach to understanding the world and our place in it. Internationally renowned for cutting-edge work in new scholarly fields, we also maintain a strong tradition of broad-based anthropological teaching. We provide students at all levels with unique opportunities to obtain profession-enhancing research experience. As a result, our graduates have one of the best national employment rates.
Brunel anthropology gives you weekly tutorials to boost your performance and opportunities to do fieldwork to broaden your horizons. You can opt for a conventional three-year degree or our innovative four-year ‘thin sandwich’ degree with two fieldwork placements in the UK or overseas.
Alongside our thriving MRes and PhD programmes, we offer MSc programmes in medical, psychological and psychiatric anthropology, the anthropology of childhood and education. These programmes build on cutting-edge research conducted in our world-leading research centres. We have recently added a new MSc in the Anthropology of International Development and Humanitarian Assistance to our postgraduate teaching portfolio.
