There's no doubt about it, Brunel University helped me to become who I am today. I clearly remember my first day in September of '98, and in the summer of 2001 I graduated with a BA in English. I went on to do a Masters and a PhD in Creative Writing before becoming a published author. I had great teachers who encouraged me to forge my own path, to understand who I was as a writer, and to develop a true love of literature. I learnt to believe in myself, to trust my instinct, and I was given the skills to understand how to make things happen. Now I have a fantastic literary agent and I've just finished my second novel!
