PhD Student Wins Vice Chancellor's Travel Prize
Sarah Harman was recently awarded the Vice Chancellor's Travel Prize.
As a prize winner, Sarah is entitled to claim up to £500 in expenses towards attending and presenting at a national or international conference.
Sarah's prize will allow her to attend and present at the INSEP (International Network for Sexual Ethics and Politics) 2012 conference at Ghent University, Belgium. Her paper, titled 'The UK Regulation of Sadomasochism on and off screen: The OPA and BBFC after R v Peacock' is part of her research project under Milly Williamson, and focuses upon 'Femininity, Feminism and Masochism: The Female Masochist Body in [Para]Cinema'.
