Games Design

Endorsed by these Industry Affiliates and more, the School of Arts offers a pioneering suite of programmes devoted to the analysis and design of digital games. You can study at undergraduate level in complementary combination with another subject from the School of Arts, and Masters level study is available on our successful MA, many graduates from which have gone to work in a range of roles within the games industry.
We also have a thriving post-graduate research community focused on games from a range of disciplinary perspectives. We have a dedicated Games Lab which provides a great place to play games of all formats old and new, and mix with staff and students investigating this exciting new academic topic.
We do not teach programming or 3D design, and students do not need to come from a computing or art background to study games at Brunel. Our staff all have experience at many different levels in the games industry or are pioneers of games studies as an academic discipline.
If it's games you are passionate about then our programmes will help you to grow and refine your understanding as well as prepare you for a role in the games industry.
