Journalism MA (NCTJ Accredited)
Graduates, some award-winning, now work for The Independent, The Guardian, NME, BBC, IPC magazines, regional and local newspapers, press agencies and online brands.
Our MA is one of only a small number of NCTJ accredited MAs in the UK, a hallmark of its industry-facing nature, strong delivery, excellent employment prospects and amazing facilities. We recruit small cohorts to ensure high class contact and personal mentoring. Our programme is multi-platform, not single media, so all students learn skills in video, online, print with the addition of either audio or on-screen page makeup. Our focus is on brilliant writing and reporting, and students produce content for our own sites and enjoy great placement opportunities due to our close relationship with industry. We also host weekly guest speakers from leading media brands.
International Journalism MA
MA International Journalism addresses the global shifts in the journalism industry by contextualising different forms of journalistic practice within a framework of technological, political and cultural change. It also sets out to equip students with sufficient generic skills to adapt to future journalism industry developments.
