90 Days to Job Success Course starts for graduates in Jan 2013

To help graduates succeed in a competitive labour market Brunel Business School and the award winning Placement and Career Centre have developed a short, intensive 90 day programme starting on 7th January 2013. With opportunities to structure and improve job search strategies, graduates will get hands-on support from careers consultants from the Placement and Careers Service.

MBA students prepare for their Business Tour. Destination – India!

Professor Ashley Braganza, the Director of Business Life and a truly motivational force, met with MBA students in a recent class session to prepare them for the next international business tour. Seven students will be selected to travel to India where they will meet heads of top level corporations and small not-for profit organisations.

Making Growth Happen: Meeting of Industry, Academia and Students

Brunel Business School recently hosted an annual Capstone event: ‘Making Growth Happen – What can be done to achieve an authentically sustainable economic growth?’ under the umbrella of Business Life: Employability Programme.

BBS Students are runners up in PwC Bright Futures Business Champions Competition 2012

Joshua Fitzgerald and Stephanie Gaynor, both final year Business and Management (specialising in accounting and marketing) students were the successful runners up in the national Bright Futures competition in collaboration with PwC. The competition is part of an initiative introduced to Brunel Business School students by the School’s employability programme; Business Life. This was a great way of giving students the opportunity to put their degree theory into ‘real life’ practice.

Brunel MBA student, now FTSE 250 Ops Director, talks on Global Operations Strategies

The most recent “Let’s Talk Business” Guest Speaker Series featured Simon Nicholson, Brunel MBA student and a Director of Operations at Oxford Instruments, a FTSE 250 company with 1900 employees worldwide and a turnover of £262m. Entitled “Global Operations Strategy”, Simon’s presentation centred on issues facing operations management in a global context.

Global Supply Chain Students visit MINI Factory

To bring the tools and techniques of supply chain and logistics management to life, students on the MSc Global Supply Chain Management embarked on a visit to the MINI production plant in Cowley, Oxford.

Students talk the BRICs and beyond with Goldman Sachs

James Wrisdale, Analyst and Macro Economist in the Asset Management Division of Goldman Sachs, joined the Brunel Business School MBA students last Wednesday with a presentation on "The BRICs and beyond", a unique insight on today’s global market and a forecast for the next decades. The meeting was a part of 'Let’s Talk Business', a guest speakers series running throughout the MBA calendar.
