Links to Industry
An MBA is very much a practical qualification aimed at meeting the needs of aspiring senior managers and their employers so it is highly appropriate that the Brunel MBA is underpinned by Brunel’s close links to business as well as our relationships with key areas of the public sector.
- MBA students undertake regular visits to companies in the UK and annually embark on a Business Tour to one of the main economic hubs in the world, where they learn about operations of multinational corporations
- The Industry Advisory Board for the MBA Programme includes some of the biggest corporations in UK
- The School recently hosted a discussion forum for aviation sector managers and will hold its second annual conference for occupational health professionals, both of these events are in conjunction with the School’s expanding portfolio of Executive Development programmes

International Business Tour
MBA students have the opportunity to embark annually on a Business Tour to one of the main economic hubs in the world, where they learn about operations of multinational corporations. A recent visit included a weeklong trip to one of the leading BRIC economies: India. Students had a unique opportunity to meet with senior directors of companies such as Cadburys, McDonalds and Merrill Lynch – as well as a number of local social enterprises and SMEs.
MBA Students have exclusive access to individual career managment sessions with Ms Pauline Irons who has an extensive coaching experience as the former Head of Global IT Recruitment at GlaxoSmithKline. Pauline gives students advice on all aspects of job hunting, including reassessment of their true strength and weaknesses, and career management. This aspect of the MBA programme is invaluable to students who having worked in managerial roles for a number of years may now wish to assess their experience to date and progress their careers into the future.
