The MBA Advisory Board provides a fresh perspective on the development, relevancy and impact of curriculum for the Brunel MBA so that the programme is properly reflective of commercial organisation and management needs. Furthermore it ensures that MBA graduates are suitably aware of and responsive to industry requirements.
Chair: Mrs Louise Dudley
Vice Principal - Finance, Planning and Corporate Services for Brooklands College
Louise’s current position is Vice Principal – Finance, Planning and Corporate Services for Brooklands College, having previously spent nine years specialising in finance for higher education at Brunel University London. Alongside this Louise is currently Deputy Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) UK Board, and takes up Chairmanship in July 2015 for a further two years. Prior to this Louise has been fortunate to have worked in many varied and interesting roles for large private corporations and a variety of SME's. This comprehensive range of work experience coupled with a keen interest in all aspects of professional development, employability and diversity enables Louise to contribute widely across an organisation. Louise is interested in all aspects of education and is currently Chair of the London and North Thames Student Society for CIMA.
Prof Ashley Braganza
Professor of Organisational Transformation Change
Ashley Braganza is Professor of Organisational Transformation Change at Brunel Business School. He is teaching on Undergraduate and Postgraduate taught programmes. His research interests encompass big data, change management, strategy implementation, process and knowledge management and transformation enabled information systems. He has published over 100 papers in prestigious academic and practitioner journals and three books. He is the Founder and Chair of the British Academy of Management Special Interest Group in Transformation, Change and Development. He has carried out over 50 consultancy assignments with large global organisations.

Mr Colin Farrow
Managing Director, Farrow Consulting Limited
Colin co-founded one of the UK's early digital agencies in 1995. Having sold this business in 2007, Colin now consults on digital strategy, online user experience and digital governance for a variety of sector-leading clients in the UK and North America. An economist by training, he's also an occasional entrepreneur, mostly in digital publishing. In January 2014, by way of a change, Colin co-founded Gardant Security Limited, a physical security business that offers an unusual level of integration with clients' designed customer experience.
Mr Vishal Kher
Head of Transactional Printing, Europe, Middle East & Africa
Vishal is the Business Category Manager for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region responsible for the Laserjet printer supplies business within the region’s many countries. Prior to this role, Vishal has held various sales, programme management and product category functions within the HP business including Financial Services, Personal Systems Group (PC division) and Imaging & Printing. He holds a BA (Hons) in Business Administration and an MBA – both from Brunel University London.
Mrs Louise Patten
Chief Officer, NHS Aylesbury Vale CCG
Louise trained as a District Nurse and moved into management, initially working on the Provider side of the NHS then moving to Commissioning. After 10 years working at NHS board level, she left her PCT Deputy Chief Executive post to study for her MBA full time at Brunel. She won the Business School prize for best post-graduate dissertation in 2007, publishing two years later with academic colleagues from Brunel. She is currently CEO of United Commissioning (UC), a not-for-profit limited liability partnership of all equity partners in the 21 GP Practices within the Vale of Aylesbury PCT area.
Mr Riko Scandelius
Director of Healthcare Payments at Bupa
Riko holds an MBA in General Management and Business Informatics from Rotterdam Business School in Netherlands and an MSc in Chemical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden. Riko is Director of Healthcare Payments at Bupa, responsible for healthcare policy and payments. He is the chairman of the CCSD group (Clinical Coding Schedule Development), an industry-wide body which develops and manages payment codes for UK Private Health industry (PH), and non-executive Director at Healthcode Ltd, which provides services to Health Industry such as invoice clearing for medical invoicing, private practice software, electronic invoicing systems, and clinical coding translation tools. He has previously worked as Management Consultant at A.T Kearney, advising on public and private healthcare commissioning.

Mr Steve Sinclair
Senior Director and Customer Insight and Experience lead for PwC
Steve holds an MBA from London Business School and a Diploma from NYU Graduate School in International Finance and Marketing. He has held main Board roles in some of the UK major UK retailers and currently sits as Non-Executive Director for one of the largest value retailers in the UK. He also is a Director with PwC, leading a team of consultants in the area of customer experience, marketing effectiveness and customer analytics and insight. Previously he has led the UK practice for customer relationship management within IBM, and held the role of Retail Global Partner for PA Consulting. He is also currently an advisor to the British Heart Foundation
Ms Helen Slingsby
Helen has been working with the MBA students as their career coach since August 2013. She is a strong believer in providing the tools to enable her students have the confidence and mindset to be self-sufficient in their job search. A large part of her work centres around helping the students reposition themselves for the job market as a fully qualified MBA and all that this means, and to practise telling and selling the latest chapter in their story.
Helen has an MSc in Career Management and Counselling from Birkbeck College , London University, and a first degree in International History and Politics from Leeds University. She has been a career coach in the corporate and public sectors for eight years and was previously a business journalist on The Guardian, The London Evening Standard and Marketing Week magazine.
Ms June Thomson
Sales Director, Business Partner Organisation UK, IBM United Kingdom Ltd.
June has worked for IBM since 1990 and has worked for the firm for over 20 years in a variety of roles, where her early career in the company was as a Systems Engineer in IBM’s Public Sector Business. Prior to joining IBM, June taught Chemistry and Biology at a number of secondary schools in Glasgow. June has been actively involved in external programmes such as GETSET and INSIGHT which actively encourage Science and Engineering as potential career options for girls. She holds a BSc (Hons) Degree in Chemistry and an MPhil in Production Management and Manufacturing Technology.
Senior Lecturer, MBA Director
Dimitrios is the Director of the MBA programme at Brunel Business School and holds a degree in Business Administration from the Athens University of Business and Economics (former ASOEE) and an MBA and PhD degree from Cardiff University. Additionally, he is a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants, Member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments, Member of the Chartered Management Institute and Academic Member of the European Corporate Governance Institute.
He is also the Founder and Scientific Director of the Hellenic Observatory of Corporate Governance, which since 2007 produces regular reports on issues relating to Corporate Governance in Greece, focusing on longitudinal research of boards of directors in five distinct business populations (Listed Companies, Hospitals, State Owned Enterprises, Listed Maritime Firms and Football Clubs).
Lecturer, Deputy MBA Director
Bidit is a lecturer in Marketing and the Deputy MBA Director. His research interest revolves around the adoption and use of technologies particularly in emerging economies. He has been actively involved in a number of training programmes and consultancy projects. He is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy and also a member of the British Academy of Management, and Academy of Marketing.
Head of Brunel Business School and Professor of Strategy and Sustainable Competitiveness
Christos is the Head of Brunel Business School and Professor of Strategy and Sustainable Competitiveness. He has co-founded and directed for twenty years the Centre for International Business and Management (CIBAM) at the University of Cambridge, where he is a Life Fellow of Queens’ College, and the University of Bath, where he was also a Professor of Sustainable Global Business. He has held visiting appointments among others at the University of California Berkeley; Copenhagen Business School; University of St Petersburg and University of Technology Sydney. He is an Editor of the Cambridge Journal of Economics, literary executor of the collected papers of Edith Penrose and at the editorial boards of journals such as Organization Science . He has researched, consulted and co-ordinated projects for governments, the European Commission, the United Nations, USAID, the Commonwealth Secretariat and business corporations such as WPP and Diageo. He has also served as President of the Hellenic Organisation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and has extensive MBA teaching and executive education experience.
