Brunel Institute for Bioengineering
The Brunel Institute for Bioengineering is a multi-disciplinary research organisation producing new and innovative solutions in practice for health, medicine and surgery. The work is led by a team of engineers, scientists, clinicians and biologists. Currently research on smart tools for surgery, smart bio-sensing systems, cardiovascular devices and modelling, respiratory, bio-processing and technology for quality life-long living has produced pragmatic and cost-efficient solutions suited to the health environment and for clinical and patient needs. A selection of these achievements can be found on our website.
The research is supported by research councils, industry and charities. We are grateful for their support that has led to the benefits of our research applied in practice.
