Assistive Technology

Sympathetically applied technology and user-centered design can change lives

We design products that thoughtfully use technology to help people live better. This can be by improving the way that patients are treated, better diagnostic methods, or ways of helping people live with chronic conditions.

Current work includes developing products, requested by users, to help them cope with problems associated with continence management. BIB staff work directly with users and with other Universities, to bring together the necessary skills to develop appropriate and acceptable products. We specialise in multidisciplinary consortia brought together to solve the real world problems.
