Dr Dimitrios Giannoulopoulos was invited to attend a dinner at the Inner Temple bringing together a small group of legal academics and members of the Inn. Dimitrios discussed his comparative research on custodial interrogation rights and the exclusion of improperly obtained evidence with judges (inlcuding a former Court of Appeal judge), QCs and other very experienced criminal law practitioners who are members of the Inn. He also discussed ideas with the Treasurer and Sub-Treasurer of the Inn about accelerating interaction between Inner Temple and Brunel Law School, taking as a point of departure initiatives undertaken in the current academic year, such as the participation of Inner Temple advocacy trainers in the Advocacy short course that Brunel is currently offering to its students.
