Our podcasts are for prospective students who are thinking about going to university.

Each podcast will include a Brunel student case study and information such as what we look for in a UCAS application, managing finances and graduate employment prospects.

The 2012 Olympics and the Koreans are coming

The Olympics are coming to London in 2012 giving Brunel University and its students plenty of opportunities to get involved - we hear from Neil Young, Head of Brunel's 2012 Programmes, who will be updating us on just how.  We also talk to Sports Scholar and Taekwondo athlete, Jibreel Malik, who is hoping for Olympic gold himself.

Law at Brunel

We talk to Brian O'Neill QC, who took time out of his busy Old Bailey schedule to share his experiences with us. We also hear from Admissions Tutor and Law Lecturer Christine Riefa about the type of student she's looking for and the type of course offered here at Brunel. Current Law student Evelyn Asuen also pops into the pod to say hello.

Maths at Brunel

Steve Noble, Vinny Sivathevan and Layal Hakim talk to us about the Maths degree courses here at Brunel.

Senior lecturer Steve looks after the transition process for the first year students while Vinny is currently studying in her third year, having already enjoyed those early stages of her course. Also, Layal talks about what she's been up to since graduating and how she's been using her Maths degree.

Information Systems and Computing at Brunel

Software, how it is developed and how it is used in the real world.

Undergraduate Admissions Director David Williams talks to us about the differences between Information Systems and Computing and he reveals the sort of student he's looking for.

Current student Richard Clapton shares his experiences on his Information Systems course while Mohammed Ali tells us what happened after he graduated. How did Brunel's offering help him into the right profession?

Settling in, getting involved and getting help

Senior English Ladies Champion Wrestler, Chloe Spiteri, talks to us about her learning disability and how support from Brunel has helped her achieve on her course. Alumna and school teacher, Anna Snook, also shares her experiences and how her pupils' might be feeling about going to University. And we hear from Emily Danvers from the Academic Skills service, 'ASK' who gives us her top tips on how to cope with the academic demands at University.

The 2012 Olympics and Medal Winning Brunel Alumni

Neil Young, Head of Brunel's 2012 Programmes, tells us how the University and its students will get involved in the Olympics and we also talk to Brunel Physiotherapy alumna, Heather Fell [pictured], who won an Olympic silver medal in the last Olympics in Beijing.
