Brexit Challenges and Opportunities

LogoERDFIn Partnership with Enterprise wellness Co-Innovate delivered two workshops on the 19th and 25th April 2018 at the Brilliant restaurant in Southall.  With each workshop attracting an audience of 50 representing local businesses both were well attended and lively sessions.

We were particularly pleased to welcome Rajesh Agrawal London Deputy Mayor for Business and Dr Onkar Sohota GLA Member and Chair of the GLA Heath Committee.  We are grateful for their time and for the insights that they brought to the discussions.

We also welcomed speakers from Brunel University London Professor Ashley Braganza Deputy Dean of the College of Business, Arts and Social Sciences, and Dr Wendy Martin Senior Lecturer in Health Sciences.

Our session on the 19th considered the benefits to businesses in ensuring employee heath and on the 25th we considered markets outside of the EU and looked at India.

brexit1In the closing panel responses to questions Paul Davies, Operations Manager and Acting Leader of the Co-Innovate Programme reminded us that all change is unsettling and comes with threats and opportunities and it is how we respond to these that is important.  He suggested that the businesses attending were already being positive by taking the opportunity to consider what these threats and opportunities might be and that Co-Innovate looked forward to working with businesses who wanted to develop.

Keep an eye on the Co-Innovate website for news of the new workshop programme and for information concerning our work and many success stories.
