The Brunel Commercialisation Office is responsible for commercialising intellectual property (IP) that originates primarily from inside the University and sometimes outside.
The office works with external managers, consultants, funders and others to support the process of achieving commercial outcomes to commercialisation projects. It also works with academics to understand research projects and how these could lead to commercial ventures.
The Commercialisation Office has access to seed funding, sector relevant management support and IP protection through patent filing. Academic projects that are commercialised become licence projects, joint ventures or spinout companies.
