The Vice-Chancellor was delighted to join colleagues from the Economics and Finance department and the Development and Alumni Relations team to welcome graduates from the department to a networking event in Central London on the 26th November. This event was kindly supported by Brunel’s partners from Santander Universities at their offices in London’s Triton Square. Alongside networking and the chance to reconnect with former tutors, the alumni were able to hear an update on the University from the Vice-Chancellor and also perspectives on the work of the European Central Bank from Brunel alumnus Dr John Beirne whose work there has given him a unique insight on how the Bank has been coping with the “new normal” of financial crisis, followed by instability in the Eurozone. The event was a fabulous chance to continue to build strong connections with our graduates and celebrate our ongoing anniversary.
