Excellent results in the National Student Survey 2014 and league tables

In the 2014 NSS, History achieved 98% and Politics achieved 97% for overall student satisfaction. In terms of overall satisfaction scores, both Politics and History stand at number 1. Further to this success, History is placed at number 10 and politics at number 18 in the Sunday Times University League Table 2013 subject rankings.

Research excellence

In the last Research Assessment Exercise run by the government’s Higher Education Funding Council, 75% of the Department’s research was rated as being of international excellence. You will be taught by leading experts and you will benefit from the strong support we offer students. We pride ourselves on being accessible and approachable, with an effective Personal Tutoring system.
