Welcome from the Dean
I'm delighted to introduce you to the College of Engineering, Design and Physical Sciences. Since its founding, Brunel has been a pioneer in education and research with a strong technical and technological flavour. We have over 5000 students at our Uxbridge campus and Transnational Education (TNE) centres abroad enrolled in undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes.
The college is comprised of the Brunel Design School and six Departments: Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, and Mathematics.
Our vision is to be a leading and distinctive science, technology and mathematics knowledge provider and conduct world leading research for the benefit of society and future generations. Our mission is to nurture a culture of interdisciplinary and disciplinary education and research that are respectful of academic freedoms and promote a university-wide research ecosystem fit for the 21st Century, linking research, innovation, education and engagement.
