Intelligent Data Analysis (IDA) is an interdisciplinary research group concerned with the effective analysis of data. The group, originating from a centre set up in 1994, has grown into a leading centre of excellence for multidisciplinary work involving artificial intelligence, dynamic systems, image and signal processing, optimisation, pattern recognition, statistics and visualisation. Our work has led not only to novel research results published in many leading journals in the field, but also to effective implementation of applications that have been successfully used in practical settings, especially in biology and medicine.

Areas of interest

Our areas of interest include, but are not limited to: Data Mining, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data pre-processing, Text mining, Image processing, Data analysis methodologies, Tools and Applications.
