Michael joined Brunel in January 2011. He has received the BSc degree in Energy Engineering from the Technological/Educational Institute of Athens, Greece, the MSc degree with distinction in Power Electronics and Drives jointly from the University of Birmingham and the University of Nottingham, UK, and the PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Birmingham in 2005.

He has worked as an aircraft electrical engineer, is a holder of a European patent, a regular reviewer for IEEE and IET and works as a Power Electronics consultant.

His research interests include a broad range of Power Electronics, Power Systems and Drives subjects, while his expertise lies in the area of HF and RF Power Electronics for special applications such as high-density power supplies, induction heating, plasma excitation, wireless power transfer and similar.
