Brunel National Scholarship Programme (NSP)
Value: £2,000 fee waiver for full-time students plus £1,000 taken either as (a) an additional fee waiver or (b) discount on the cost of on-campus accommodation or (c) a cash award, £2,000 fee waiver (not eligible for additional maintenance element of £1,000) for EU students and £1,500 fee waiver (not eligible for additional maintenance element of £1,000) for part-time students.

For how many years: 3 years for full-time students and 4 years for part-time students

Eligibility: bursaries will be allocated in early September, following publication of UK ‘A’ level examination results, to those applicants who meet all the following criteria:
- have an assessed household income of £25,000 or less
- meet at least one of the following under-represented* categories, ranked in the following order:
- be a care leaver
- be from a low participation neighbourhood
- be a mature student (aged 21 or above at the start of their course)
- have attended a Brunel widening participation partnership school or college
- have a disability (including dyslexia)
- come from a low-socio economic background
- have parents who have no higher education qualification
*under-represented, as in Brunel University’s population
Where more applicants meet the criteria than there are bursaries available, priority will be given to applicants who made Brunel their firm choice through UCAS and who score the highest number of points from the under-represented criteria**.
