Engineering Academic Excellence Scholarships

Annual Value: up to £2,000 cash award

How many: all those that meet the eligibility criteria

For how many years: 3 years

Application process: apply via My Applications Portal by 31 July

Eligibility: Scholarships will be allocated in August, prior to September entry, to those applicants who completed the scholarship application form by 31st July and who meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • must meet the entry criteria for their programme of study and achieve one of the following qualifications and grades*:
    - 3 A levels with grades AAB
    - International Baccalaureate Diploma with 34 points or above
    - BTEC Extended Diploma with grades D*D*D (UCAS tariff equivalencies are not acceptable)
    - 3 Scottish Advanced Highers with grades AAB
    - Higher Irish Leaving Certificate from 4 subjects with grades A1, A1, A1, B1
  • must make Brunel University their firm choice through UCAS
  • must have submitted a completed scholarship application by 31 July
  • must be undertaking a BEng or MEng in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or Electronic and Computer Engineering in the School of Engineering (excludes Broadcast Media, Multimedia Technology and Design, and all Design programmes)**
*qualifying grades must be in the subjects expressed in the offer of admission
**Foundation year students (year 0) are eligible to receive the scholarship from year 1 ie 2014
