Local Boroughs Scholarship
Annual Value: £5,000 fee waiver plus £1,000 taken either as (a) an additional fee waiver or (b) discount on the cost of on-campus accommodation or (c) a cash award

Eligibility: scholarships will be allocated in early September, following publication of UK 'A' level examination results, starting with those applicants who have achieved the greatest number of tariff points above 360 (excluding Key Skills), who have made Brunel University their firm choice through UCAS and who also meet the following criteria:
- must attend a maintained school or college (not an independent or private school) in Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon or Hounslow
- must meet at least one of the following underrepresented* criteria:
- be care leaver
- be from a low participation neighbourhood
- be a mature student (21 or over at the start of their course)
- have an assessed household income of £25,000 or less
- have a disability (including dyslexia)
- be from a low-socio economic background
- have parents who do not have a higher education qualification
*under-represented, as in Brunel University’s population
Allocation will continue with those who have the next highest number of UCAS tariff points, excluding Key Skills, until all the scholarships have been allocated.
