Weather Station Blog Part 1: Setting up
This week I spent a day in Hatch End High School setting up a weather station. There's not a lot to report as yet as the aim was just to get the station set up and logging data. The location isn't perfect - it's probably a bit close to buildings to get any useful wind data - but temperature, pressure, humidity and rain should all be fine.
The next step is to try and get the station data on the internet somewhere - I'll tackle that another day though.
Then, once we have a bit of data I'll go in and run some sessions with the students to try and understand why we're having the weather that we're having (which was the title of the Royal Society Partnership grant project grant that allowed us to purchase the station).
More later...
