Certified Copies

When applying to us you can submit scanned copies of your certificates, if applying online or by email. If applying by post we reccommend that you send us a certified copy of your certificate rather than the original. If your qualification is not in english then you will need to send us a translated and certified copy, as well as a scan of the original certificate.

A certified copy is a copy that has been stamped and signed by a relevant authority which confirms they are genuine. The only people who are authorised to verify a copy of your documents are:

  • The University or Institution that issued them.
  • One of our Authorised Representatives in your country
  • The British Council
  • A Lawyer or other legal professional of good standing who is not related to you.

Remember that if you are offered a place at Brunel you must always bring your original certificates (with translations if neccessary) with you when you enrol. You will also need to show these when applying for a student visa.
