How to Apply

The application process will depend on the course that you wish to apply for. Courses at Brunel usually fall into one of these categories:


Undergraduate Courses

Undergraduate coursesCourses leading to a Bachelors award or equivalent. (BA, BSc, LLB etc). Browse our courses and then read how to apply

Duration: 3 to 4 years usually, depending on whether your course contains a placement year. Most courses start in September/October

If you do not meet the entry requirements then we offer a range of Foundation Courses

Erasmus Courses
For information on our Erasmus courses and how to apply if you wish to spend time at Brunel University as part of Erasmus from your home university please read our Erasmus webpages


Taught Postgraduate Courses

Postgraduate coursesCourses leading to a Masters award or equivalent (MA, MSc, MEng etc). Browse our courses and then read how to apply.

Duration: Usually 1 year. Most courses start in September/October

If you do not meet the entry requirements then we offer a range of Pre- Masters Courses


Research Courses

Research CoursesCourses leading to a PhD or similar research award. Browse our courses and then read how to apply.

Duration: Varies. Students can generally start on the 1st of any month, though there are exceptions.


English Language (Pre-sessional) courses

English language coursesThese are intensive English courses, usually taken in the summer before the new academic year begins. Find out more about English courses at Brunel.

Duration: Courses run from 4 to 38 weeks
