International Orientation Programme

20-22 September 2012

Brunel International is hosting a three-day Orientation programme for all international and EU students prior to the start of the academic year. The programme is designed to help you familiarize yourself with the campus and Uxbridge before starting your course.

This is a great opportunity to make a lot of friends and enrol onto your course before all other students arrive. You will get information sessions on banking, immigration and free services offered on campus and the Union of Brunel Students.

Activities during those three days will include a day trip, a campus and Uxbridge walking tour and lots of social events. All meals are included in the event; all you need to do is pay for your accommodation and book your place now.

96% of students last year rated the orientation as “Excellent” or “Very good". Here are some comments from last year's participants:

"The International Student Orientation is an excellent programme where you can learn about your new university and make friends immediately. It’s good way to start your UK journey.” (Mohd from Malaysia)

“In these 3 days I made loads of friends, especially because the group was quite small compared to the mass of students running around during Freshers’ Week! I would even recommend this programme to EU and UK based students!” (Minesh Hartmann)

Costs

EU and Exchange students: £95

Includes free airport welcome from Heathrow Airport on the 18 and 19 September. Please note this programme does not include accommodation. If you are staying on campus you can book to arrive early in your accommodation, but you will need to pay for this yourself.

Airport Welcome Service

Brunel International runs an airport welcome service for those arriving on Sunday 23 September. If you plan on arriving at Heathrow airport on this day you can apply for the airport welcome service. On the day you will be met by Brunel International student greeters at Heathrow who will assist you with your luggage and accompany you to the Brunel campus using public transport (door to door bus journey). You can book this service here.

Pre-sessional Students

Note to current presessional students: If you are currently studying on a presessional course at Brunel University, unfortunately you are not eligible to register for our International Student Orientation Programme. But don’t worry – it’s almost the same as the orientation you had when you first arrived (campus and Uxbridge tours, registration, etc.). You can however get free tickets to our social events on Thursday 20 and Friday 21 September.
