Online task

The online task is the first part of your registration process. You do not need to complete this until we have sent you a letter or email telling you that the task is open.

The online task is accessed through the eVision student portal, using the same username and password as for 'My Application'.

  • Your username is your student number. This is (usually) a seven digit number that begins with a 1. You can find it on your offer letter or email.
  • Your password will initially be your date of birth in the format DDMMYY (e.g. 4th March 1966 would be 040366). You will be asked to change this once you log in - make sure you change it to something you remember.
Once you log in you will see a tab called ' My Registration' on the left hand side of the page. Click on this to see all the sections that you need to complete. Once you have finished a section a green tick will appear next to it.
If you have any problems during the enrolment process please contact the student centre.

Sections

My Personal Information

Complete this section first. Check that your full name and date of birth and home address are correct. Also let us know your term time address and contact details for your 'in case of emergeny' contacts.

My Financial information (Not applicable to all students)

In this section you will be asked how you intend to pay for your tuition fees. If your fees are being paid by an Official Financial Sponsor, you can tell us here.

Union of Brunel Students

Here you can decide whether you want to become a member of the Students Union. The vast majority of students at Brunel are members of UBS. It is free to join and allows students to make use of union facilities such as the advice centre and leisure facilities, as well as joining clubs and societies.

Photo

In order for us to make your student ID card in advance of your arrival you will need to supply us with a photograph. You can either upload a digital photo from your computer as a JPEG file or post a passport photo. If you wish to post a copy of your photo you will be able to print off a form to attach it to. If you do not wish to upload or send in a photo your card will be made at Registration. Please note that if we don't receive your photo 5 working days before your expected date of Registration we may be unable to produce your ID card in advance. We will still create a card for you on the day, but you will have to wait a little longer.

Registration Summary Letter

Once you have completed all of the relevant sections, a message will appear at the top of the screen telling you that your Online Registration is complete. You will now be presented with a new option, the 'Registration Summary Letter'. If you are studying on campus then you should print this letter and bring it when you come to register at the University.

Brunel Network Account

You can get access to your Brunei Network Account when you have completed all of the sections in 'my Registration', The Brunei Network Account gives you access to the University PCs, Internet, e-mails and many more services relevant to your studies. This section becomes available in the checklist about 20 minutes after you have completed your Online Registration. Log back into My Registration, click into this new option and follow the step by step guide to obtain your username and new email address.
