The courses below are for registered EU and International Students whose first language is not English. They are all free.

You are able to overcome difficulties that many international students face when trying to understand lectures and participate in discussions For students who do not use English as their first language, wish to practise participating in discussions and need effective strategies for understanding lectures
Academic English for PhD students (2)
You develop your skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening so that you are able to present and publish in English
Academic Grammar with Vocabulary (2)
When editing written assignments, you add grammatical accuracy and sophistication
Students who do not use English as their first language and wish to add clarity and stlye to their academic writing
Academic Presentation Skills
You give effective presentations.
For students who do not use English as their first language and have little experience of giving academic presentations
Academic Writing
Your academic writing shows familiarity with key University requirements for coursework
For students who do not use English as their first language, are registered on BA, BSc, MA and MSc degree courses, have limited experience of writing academic assignments ina UK university and want to improve their assignment grades
Academic Writing for Engineering
You write in a clear and concise manner appropriate to your academic discipline
For students who do not use English as their first language and need to write technical reports
English for Dissertation Writing
Your dissertation will show familiarity with key academic conventions.
For students who do not used English as their first language and have limited experience of writing a dissertation or thesis at a British university
English for Thesis Writing (PhD students)
You can write in an appropriate style for your academic discipline. For students who do not use English as their first language, are in the process of writing a thesis and are registered PhD students

Professional English (2)
Your spoken English can be understood with ease by an international audience
For students who do not use Englsih as their first language and for students who wish to work in an English speaking environment.
Project Writing for MA Design Strategy and Innovation and MA design and Branding Strategy
Only for students enrolled in Postgraduate Design Courses.
Pronunciation
Your spoken English can be understood with ease by an international audience
For students who do not use English as their first language and wish to produce the individual sounds of English more clearly.
Social Conversation (2)
You develop a range of communication skills for coping effectively in a variety of everyday social situations.
Students who do not use English as their first language and want to improve their spoken English and interact wtih others in English.
