Cost of Attendance

To determine your Cost of Attendance (COA) please use the following formula, taking note of the guidance notes underneath. The amounts below are set by the University as a representation of what it costs to study here. These figures are higher than the figures set by UK Visas and Immigration. You do not have to borrow all of your COA but this is the maximum you are able to borrow (minus any scholarships).

Undergraduate Level (9 Months):

£12,500+Other Expenses+Tuition Fees+Visa Cost+NHS charge-Scholarship=Total
  • £12,500 - This is the University's estimation of living costs and breaks down as Accommodation £5,500, 9 months living expenses £4,000, Books and supplies (miscellaneous) £1000. Travel to and from UK £2,000;
  • Other expenses - such as additional course costs/fees, medical expenses not covered by health insurance, childcare expenses for dependent children. If you would like any additional expenses to be considered in your Cost of Attendance, please contact the Student Centre Funding team;
  • Tuition fees - See your offer letter or our course pages for the correct amount;
  • Scholarships - Take away any scholarships or bursaries you are receiving;
  • Grand Total - The total should then be converted from £GBP to $USD to give you the final amount. The University uses OANDA to calculate exchange rates.

Postgraduate Level (12 Months):

£16,200+Other Expenses+Tuition FeesVisa Cost+NHS charge-Scholarships=Grand Total
  • £16,200 - This is the University's estimation of living costs and breaks down as Accommodation £7,700, 12 months living expenses £5,500, Books and supplies (miscellaneous) £1000, Travel to and from UK £2000;
  • Other expenses - such as additional course costs/fees, medical expenses not covered by health insurance, childcare expenses for dependent children. If you would like any additional expenses to be considered in your Cost of Attendance, please contact the Student Centre Funding team;
  • Tuition fees - see your offer letter or our course pages for the correct amount;
  • Visa cost (if applicable) - £328;
  • NHS charge - £150 for each year of your course, payable in full at the time of Visa application;
  • Scholarships - Take away any scholarships or bursaries you are receiving;
  • Grand Total - The total should then be converted from £GBP to $USD to give you the final amount. The University uses OANDA to calculate exchange rates.
