Iain Ramsay

Iain Ramsay is currently Professor of Law at the University of Kent. From 1986-2007 he was Professor of Law at Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, Toronto Canada. He has written several books and many articles on consumer law and policy, particularly on consumer credit and personal insolvency. He has acted as an advisor to governments and NGOs in North and South America and Europe. He was president of the IACL from 2003-07, the Canadian Task Force on Personal Insolvency 2000-2002, and is currently part of the World Bank Working Group on Personal Insolvency, the ILA Committee on International Consumer Protection, and is a member of the American Law Institute.
