The Centre for International and Public Law (CIPL) is pleased to announce the publication of a book on ‘The African Regional Human Rights System’ to mark the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights. The book provides the most comprehensive analysis of the African regional human rights system under the following general themes: rights and duties in the African Charter; rights of the vulnerable under the African system; implementation mechanisms for human rights in Africa; and towards an effective African regional human rights system.
