Recent research grants and awards

Jessica Corsi has been successful in her application to the BRIEF Award Scheme in April 2018. It is very competitive scheme. BRIEF Awards are intended as pump-priming funds for new members of academic staff below the level of Senior Lecturer, within the first 3 years of their appointment, to enable them to start research projects and seek external funding to support ongoing project costs.

Jessica was also awarded a small sum in March 2018 a British Academy Seed funding to run a ‘UK-US Workshop on Violence’.

In April 2018, Christine Riefa’s proposal for a symposium titled “Global Consumer Lives: ‘(Vulnerable) consumers or citizens?: is there a correct rationale for a fairer access to justice?” has been awarded £4,000 under the Global Lives Spring/Summer Events as part of the new College Global Lives Research Centre. The event will take place before 31 July 2018.
