External Examiner at several universities – currently (since 2011) at the School of Law, SOAS, University of London; and School of Law, University of Hull.

Manisuli has undertaken consultancy, training and advisory works in the (extraterritorial) protection of human rights especially economic, social and cultural rights, and the use of international criminal law to ensure individual accountability for serious crimes and serious human rights violations.

He has also worked on litigation in the International Court of Justice, the World Trade Organisation Dispute Settlement Body as well as cases in the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights and cases in England, Uganda and the United States of America. He also advises organisations and individuals on how to use the African human rights system, including drafting cases. He has provided expert advice on how to deal with the current situations and cases (Central African Republic; Democratic Republic of Congo; Sudan; and Uganda) before the International Criminal Court.

He has also been invited to preside over several international moot competitions as a judge including the Telders International Law Moot Court (University of Sheffield, February 2009) and the 3rd Monroe E Price International Media Law Moot Court Competition (University of Oxford, 24 - 27 March 2010). He has given several papers on contemporary legal issues and debates at several conferences.

In addition, Manisuli has been invited by publishers eg the Oxford University Press; Cambridge University Press, Ashgate, Brill and Routledge to review manuscripts for suitability of publications. He has also worked for several academic journals including the Journal of International Relations and Development; Ethics and International Affairs; International Criminal Law Review; African Journal of International and Comparative Law; Journal of Islamic State Practices in International Law; and Journal of African Law. He was the Assistant Editor, Human Rights Law Review (2002-2004) and Journal of Conflict and Security Law (2003-2004).
