The 3rd edition of Sentencing and Punishment: The Quest for Justice was published by Oxford University Press in the summer. The authors, Dr Susan Easton and Professor Christine Piper, have also written a blog to explain why they chose the picture of a prison hulk at Woolwich in 1777.

Prisoners' Rights Principles and Practice By Susan Easton - 07 Apr 2011

Sue Easton has published a research monograph on prisoners' rights. Prisoners’ Rights: Principles and Practice, published by Routledge in March 2011, considers the advantages and problems of a rights-based approach to imprisonment. Discussion of the practice of imprisonment in the UK, the United States and the Netherlands is included.
