Getting to know your campus...
We know how much easier life is when things are familiar, so we have put together several resources to get you ready for life at Brunel. Below you can explore the support available to Brunel students, find out what is on campus by taking a virtual tour and download a copy of The Essentials. The Essentials is a guide to all of the non-academic services you have access to as a student at Brunel. You'll receive a printed copy at Registration, so please take the time to have an explore!
Your eVision portal is where you’ll find administrative tasks and information that you may need throughout the year, such as registration, module selection & results, financial & fee information, graduation invitation, key dates and important messages. It is essential that you check eVision regularly and ensure that your personal information remains up to date. You can find a comprehensive list of the tasks eVision can help you with here.
As a student you may need to formally confirm your student status to outside authorities. We provide letters to confirm you’re studying, generally on demand, for example, council tax exemption certificates, bank letters and employer reference requests. You can request many of these online via your eVision portal and they can be posted out to you or can be collected.
Union of Brunel Students
The Union of Brunel Students is here to represent, entertain, and support you during your time at Brunel. From campaigns and support services through to sports clubs and societies.
Download the Union App to find out what’s going on, join clubs & societies and keep up to date. Available on the Apple Store and Google Play.
Once the excitement of being new has died down, you know your way around campus, and have joined a few clubs or societies, your Students’ Union offers much more.
The Union runs Loco’s Bar and Academy Nightclub, both on campus. Loco’s offer a range of hot and cold food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and also are Proud to Serve Starbucks. With a lineup of sporting events on the big screen, bingo, karaoke, and other events, it’s a great place to socialise at the heart of campus. Academy is the nightclub, offering various different club nights, watch out for Mega Global when we take over the Hamilton Centre for a night not to be missed. Check out ‘What’s On’ on the website for more information.
If you encounter any issues whilst studying and need some advice, the ARC is here to help. The Advice and Representation Centre provides free, confidential, and non-judgemental advice and support to all students at Brunel. From student finance issues to private renting problems, the ARC advisors can provide a friendly ear and professional advice.
Representation is a big part of what the Students’ Union does. Each year students elect full-time officers to represent them; by attending meetings, spearheading campaigns, and working tirelessly to improve life at Brunel. There are plenty of opportunities for you to get involved, if you want to make big changes to your course, university and country, head to the ‘Representation’ section of the website.
If there’s anything else you want to know about The Union, visit the website, or go to Union Reception in the Hamilton Building!
