Medical Centre
The Medical Centre on campus offers a large variety of services to students and members of the public.
Make sure you register when you arrive, and get up to date with your vaccinations.
How to find us
The Medical Centre is located on campus, adjacent to Saltash Hall of Residence.
There is pedestrian and wheelchair access from the front of the building. Car parking is for outside visitors only (see the car parking information page for information on campus parking regulations for Brunel students).
Opening hours
We are open between 8:30 am and 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday, all year round except bank holidays.Since November 2008, in line with NHS policy, the practice additionally offers GP appointments on two evenings per week Tuesday and Thursdays until 7:45 pm and on Thursday and Friday mornings from 7:15 to 8:00 am. Please note that no other business can be addressed during these extended hours - they are for GP appointments only.
We are having a trial period during the summer holidays: from 1 July 2011 until 9 September 2011, the Medical Centre will be closing at 2:00 pm Friday afternoons.

Our staff
Please note that the Medical Centre and its staff are not linked to the Brunel mainstream computer system, and as such do not have Brunel email addresses.

Practice Nurses
Our team of Practice Nurses provide weekday nursing cover from 9.00am to 6.30pm throughout the year.
Registered General Nurses Valerie Williamson and Barbara Templeman provide cover, assist with the running of several of our clinics and will be happy to advise you on the immunisations required for foreign travel.
Practice Manager
Bill Darvill, the Practice Manager, is responsible for the organisation and general administration of the Practice. We hope that you find our services efficient, accessible and relevant to your needs. The Practice Manager would welcome any suggestions or comments you may have.
Reception Staff
Yvette Biggs, our Practice Administrator, is responsible for our team of receptionists. Senior Receptionist Lynne Tantash, Karen Callaghan, Soraya Caulfield and Jackie O'Reilly will normally be your first points of contact at the Medical Centre. Sue Kinder manage the data input, and Helen Melchor is Secretary.
Complaints procedure
The Practice does have a Complaints Procedure. If you are dissatisfied with the advice or services you receive, please email the Practice Manager or contact him by telephone on +44 (0)1895 266441, so that any misunderstandings can be quickly resolved.
