Community

communityIt is important to feel a sense of belonging, especially when you are far from home and sometimes living in a totally different country. New friends can be made and existing relationships deepened through the many and varied activities hosted at the Meeting House. Not all of these have a religious nature!

If you are seeking religiously-inspired activities and events, then check out the personal page of your Chaplain of choice. Each Chaplain offers a range of activities designed to support and nurture the needs of their faith community. These activities are updated regularly according to student needs and wants. Often, there is a strong emphasis placed on activities that encourage sharing and socialising as well as prayer – and suggestions are always welcomed.

If however you are simply seeking a large and versatile space, then the Main Room is available to hire for a modest fee. Whatever your background or interest, this room is able to accommodate a range of gatherings from student societies to music practice sessions, staff meetings to local community clubs and workshops. It doesn’t matter whether you want a one-off booking or a series of slots; the arrangements are simple and can be made through the Chaplaincy administrator – sue.hepworth@brunel.ac.uk
