Prayer Spaces
Finding a suitable space for prayer can often be difficult on a busy and crowded campus. Meditative forms of prayer require environments free of loud, pulsating music whereas charismatic groups often involve vibrant music as part of their worship. Some faiths require appropriate ablution facilities, whilst others desire the ability to create a helpful ambience through subdued lighting, specific furniture arrangements and appropriate furnishings.
Various prayer spaces exist on campus able to support a wide range of faiths. Muslim worshippers are able to attend daily and Friday Prayers on campus and may contact the Muslim Chaplain for details. Other faiths and prayer groups are welcome to make full use of the variously sized spaces offered in the Meeting House.
For individuals seeking a sacred space, the Quiet Room is often available during the day and you are welcome to simply ‘drop-in’ as your needs arise.
