Supporting your research

Researchers joining Brunel have access to a tremendous wealth of information resources through the Library. Library staff work closely with Schools and the Graduate School to provide in-depth information skills training and support for new staff and research students, including training in the use of full-text and abstracting databases and other specialist research resources.

In addition, we have a suite of web pages focussing on resources that are especially relevant for researchers. These web pages’ coverage includes:

• Managing your bibliography and literature sources using RefWorks software
• Theses, including accessing theses worldwide and how to submit your own thesis
• Current awareness, from database alerting services to conferences and networking opportunities
• Information on patents and standards
• Journal comparison, including journal impact factors
